Respect

Here’s a little Respect Quiz families can take together:

1. Do you say "please" and "thank you" to your bus driver? Classmates? Teacher? School staff? Colleagues?

2. Do you say "excuse me" if you bump into someone?

3. Do you listen to others talking without interrupting?

4. Do you use kind words when you speak to other students?

5. Do you work quietly in class so others can finish their work?

6. Do you wait until your parent or child is done talking on the phone to ask a question?

7. When you greet someone new, do you make eye contact, shake their hand and say "It’s nice to meet you."?

Give yourself 1 point for each "Yes" answer. How did you do???

If you scored 6 to 7 points –You demonstrate respect where it counts, and this creates a positive school environment. Keep up the great attitude. SUPER!

If you scored 4 to 5 points –You definitely have the right idea: where else can you put it into action? GOOD!

If you scored 1 to 2 points– OK, you’re on the right path. Think about how you can be more respectful to yourself and others today. Your actions make a difference. KEEP TRYING!
