Good Morning,

 

Combined Winter Concert tonight at Damascus High School. Show starts at 7PM.

 

Attention to any 7th and 8th Grade boy or girl who signed up for basketball. Please make sure you have all your form turned in by the first tryout date. Boys should turn their forms into Mr. Frye by December 11th and girls should have their turned into Mr. Cummings by December 18th. You can find the forms you need on Bakers website.

 

The SGA Canned Food Drive is ON! Please bring non-perishable cans and boxes to your 1st period teacher. The Damascus Lions Club will use the donated food to make will be used to make Holiday Baskets for Damascus families in need. A prize will be awarded to the class that collects the most food!

 

Dear Damascus Community:
The Damascus High School Drama Club is excited to present its annual staging of A Charlie Brown Christmas Wednesday December 20th at 7pm in the Damascus High School auditorium. General Admission is $5 for anyone 3 or older. The show lasts approximately 30 minutes and is perfect for families to introduce their young children to the theatre. 
We also offer a preshow buffet dinner catered by the Damascus High School Restaurant Management program in our high school cafeteria starting at 5:30. Tickets for the buffet dinner is $20 a person, and includes one ticket to the show. Dinner tickets for children 7 and under are $10 a person and also includes a show ticket. Reservations for the buffet dinner are required by Friday December 15th and can made by emailing steven_r_kachadorian@mcpsmd.org
We look forward to seeing you at the theatre soon!

Good Morning,

 

Do you like Robotics? Did you see the robotics at the STEM fair and think it would be cool to work with those? Then join the PTA sponsored Robotics club which starts this Thursday afterschool.

 

Learn how to design, build, and program robots using the Raspberry Pi circuit board computer and the LEGO Mind-storms EV3 system.  No prior knowledge of robotics is required.

 

There is tuition required for this afterschool program, stop by the office for a flyer. Registration is due back to the office by Thursday morning to attend class Thursday afternoon.

Attention Book Wars Club: Our next meeting will be on Monday 12/18 during lunch. Please meet in the cafeteria. Also, check out the Book Wars Classroom - and add more questions to our Kahoot games. We will have fun quizzing on Monday!
