Baker Middle School Good morning, Hello Baker Students! Here is your chance to have a lot of fun this summer! Host a foreign exchange student and learn about another country. It is also a great chance to practice your Spanish-speaking skills. The students will be here for three weeks and want to learn about American culture. If you are interested, email Mrs. Bridget Friedman and she will give you more details. BOOT CAMP Member: There will be no class today. The next boot camp class will be next Tuesday Feb. 13th, see you then! The SGA is holding a Valentine dance on Friday, Feb 10, 7:00-9:30. Purchase your ticket for $5 at lunch all week. They are also selling flowers and candy during lunch through Wednesday of this week that will be delivered during Bulldog Time on Valentine’s Day. 8th grade student: We are having Study Circle meetings here at Baker on Thursdays. The remaining meetings are on February 9, 16, and 23. We are asking for 8th grade students to help us out with child care. There are about 5 students between ages 5 – 11. 8th grade students, who are interested, please see Mr. Bradley. SSl hours will be given to all who participate. LOOKING AHEAD: MSA Words of the Week Parents of 8th Grade Students: Would you like to submit an 8th grade dedication? Well here is your chance! Please email no more than a 3 sentence dedication to Lisa_L_Burdette no later than 2/15/12. You will only be notified if your dedication does not make it in to the yearbook due to the lack of space or having too many sentences. Submit your dedications today as space is very limited. Need a Valentine gift for that special someone? Check out the PTA’s fundraiser where you can shop for Valentine’s Day and help support the 8th grade end of the year celebration all at the same time. See the John T. Baker PTA Fundraiser flyer and shop now! The 2011-2012 yearbooks are on sale now until Feb. 7 for $38.00. You can also purchase extra accessories until Feb 7th. After Feb. 7th, the yearbook will go up to $40.00 and no extra accessories can be purchased. Jostens will stop taking online orders on April 30th, 2012. We strongly recommend that you purchase your copy today at www.Jostensyearsbooks.com. 300 copies out of 525 have already been sold. If any copies are remaining to be sold after April 30th, they will be sold on a first come first serve basis beginning in May 2012.
