A Note from Mr. Wilson, Principal
Dear Parents,
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 11th and Friday, November 12th, 2011. These are also Early Dismissal days for students @1:00 P.M., so please plan accordingly. Many parents have secured a conference, and your child’s teacher will confirm/assign your designated time. When you meet with the teacher, you gain a detailed, clear picture of how your child is working through the curriculum. You are able to share with the teacher your unique knowledge of your child. This improves the communication link and promotes success for your child. If you are unable to schedule a mutually agreeable time, please make an appointment for a telephone conference.
The Scholastic Bookfair will take place during the week of November 7-11. Please help support our school through your child’s participation. Our PTA is off to a great start with fantastic leadership. I encourage you to join the PTA and get involved! We have some really wonderful activities planned for this year, but it cannot happen without your support. Please attend Family Dance Night on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM.
Just a reminder, November 24 is an Early Dismissal day for students @1:00 P.M. School will be closed November 25-26. Best wishes for a happy, restful Thanksgiving holiday to all Arcola families.
