Montgomery County Public Schools Launches Campaign to Raise Funds for Students Affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma

September 8, 2017

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), in partnership with the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation, Inc., has launched a Hurricane Relief campaign to raise funds for students and families affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

“We must support all children and help each other in times of crisis,” said Superintendent Jack R. Smith. “MCPS is committed to supporting the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.”

The district’s goal is to raise at least $1 per student to support school districts in Texas and Florida that were affected by the hurricanes. The campaign kicked off on September 7, 2017 and will conclude on October 2, 2017.

MCPS families and community members can support the campaign by submitting donations to their local school or to the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation, Inc. All donations collected by the Foundation will go to corresponding educational foundations in Texas and Florida.
