Honoring Religious Diversity in Montgomery County Interfaith Forum Set for June 10

June 8, 2015

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) parents, staff and citizens are invited to attend a special event with the education and faith communities. A forum on Honoring Religious Diversity in Montgomery County will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville, 100 Welsh Park Drive in Rockville. The event will run from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

MCPS is partnering with the Montgomery County Executive’s Faith Community Working Group (FCWG) to host this interfaith forum in an effort to deepen the understanding and appreciation for the diverse faith traditions in the county.

At the forum, members of the FCWG and representatives from MCPS will speak about efforts currently under way to enhance collaboration between the district and the faith community. Attendees will also have an opportunity to provide input on how MCPS and the faith community can work together to ensure student success.
