Superintendent Jerry D. Weast will host the first in a series of town meetings for school system staff and for community members on Monday, October 2, at Watkins Mills HIgh School. The meeting - for the Watkins Mill, Damascus, Gaithersburg and Magruder clusters - will be from 4 - 6 p.m. for staff and 7:30 -9:30 for community members.

The meetings are designed to stimulate open discussion and dialogue. Feedback and suggestions about the MCPS educational initiatives in "Our Call to Action" are solicited.

Meetings for other school communities are scheduled throughout October and November.
