Due to the forecasted impact of Hurricane Sandy, Superintendent of Schools Joshua P. Starr has postponed his Community Day events in the Damascus, Gaithersburg, Magruder and Watkins Mill clusters, scheduled for Monday, October 29. This includes the town hall meeting with parents, scheduled for Monday night.

The Community Day events in the Damascus, Gaithersburg, Magruder and Watkins Mill clusters have been rescheduled for Thursday, November 29, 2012.
 
This announcement is ONLY related to Community Day activities and no changes have been announced in school operations. A decision about school operations on October 29 will be made no later than 5 a.m. on Monday and will be announced through the usual emergency communication methods. A list of those methods can be found on the MCPS website.
