UPDATE: Programs and Activities Continue in MCPS Buildings Next Week that Have Power; 4 Schools and Facilities are Without Power

Programs and activities in Montgomery County Public Schools will be held next week as planned in schools and facilities that have power. Schools with power will be open for community use through the weekend. However, all activities and programs will be cancelled in schools and facilities that do not have power.


Schools without power as of 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 6, are:
Chevy Chase Elementary School
Washington Grove Elementary School
Julius West Middle School
Rocking Horse Road Center

The Summer Regional High School program at Northwood High School will resume on Monday, July 9. The Summer Regional High School program at Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Churchill, and Clarksburg high schools will continue at those schools.

·         For Northwood High School the instructional day will be from 8:10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

·         For Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Clarksburg and Churchill high schools, the instructional day will be from 8:10 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

Elementary Regional Summer School, ELO-SAIL, Middle School Extended Year, Extended School Year programs for special education students and Head Start summer programs will begin on Monday, July 9.
