Parent Meetings Scheduled for Consortia and Magnet Programs

Parent Information Meetings Scheduled for Families Interested in Consortia and Countywide Application Programs


Montgomery County Public Schools will host a series of information meetings for parents on Downcounty, Northeast and Middle School Magnet consortia choice programs and countywide application programs. The evening meetings are scheduled throughout October and November for parents of students in Grades 3, 5 and 8. Some of these programs are available to students regardless of where they live in Montgomery County. Meetings are being held for:

- Current Grade 3 parents interested in the Center Programs for the Highly Gifted.

- Current Grade 5 parents interested in the Middle School Magnet Consortium (Loiederman, Parkland or Argyle middle schools) or parents interested in middle school magnet programs at Eastern, Takoma Park and Roberto Clemente middle schools.

- Current Grade 8 parents interested in the Downcounty or Northeast consortia, or other high school magnet programs at Montgomery Blair, Richard Montgomery and Poolesville high schools.
