MCPS is holding special workshops for parents to provide information on the Seven Keys to College Readiness. The Seven Keys provide a pathway that will help prepare students for college beginning in elementary school. Starting this month, workshops will be held in each school cluster that explain the Seven Keys and provide information on how parents can use these guidelines to support their children on the path to college.
All workshops will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the following locations—
Monday, April 20: Loiederman Middle School, 12701 Goodhill Road, Silver Spring
Wednesday, April 22: White Oak Middle School, 12201 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring
Monday, April 27: Roberto Clemente Middle School, 18808 Waring Station Road, Germantown
Wednesday, April 29: Earle B. Wood Middle School, 14615 Bauer Drive, Rockville
Monday, May 4: Eastern Middle School, 300 University Blvd, East, Silver Spring
Wednesday, May 6: Shady Grove Middle School, 8100 Midcounty Highway, Gaithersburg
Register for one of the workshops by phone at 301-517-5940, or at the door. Free childcare will be available for children 3 to 14 years old. Foreign language interpretation also will be provided.
