Report Cards to be Distributed on November 11

Report cards for the first marking period of the 2004-2005 school year will be sent home with students on Thursday, November 11. For the first time, report cards for students in elementary and middle schools (Grades 1 through 8) will reflect the first phase of the new grading and reporting policy approved by the Board of Education last year by reporting academic grades and learning skills separately.

Parents who have questions about their child's report card and the new policy can call the Grading and Reporting Hotline (301-279-3556) on Wednesday, November 10th, through Friday, November 12th, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interpreters in Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Korean will be available on November 12.

The complete report card distribution schedule for the current school year is:

First Marking Period
Marking period ends on October 29
Report Cards distributed on November 11

Second Marking Period
Marking period ends on January 21
Report cards distributed on February 3

Third Marking Period
Marking period ends on April 7
Report cards distributed on April 21

Fourth Marking Period
Marking period ends on June 15
Report cards distributed on June 23 (mailed)
