Montgomery County Board of Education to Host Public Forum for State Board of Education to Address Critical Statewide Issues

The Montgomery County Board of Education will join with boards of education from Frederick, Howard, and Prince George's counties to present a public forum for the Maryland State Board of Education to address critical statewide education issues.

The forum will take place at Paint Branch High School on Monday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. The school is located at 14121 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville.

Citizens will have an opportunity to address the state board on issues such as the upcoming High School Assessment, safety and security, achievement of all ethnic and racial groups, teacher shortages, and the Maryland School Performance Assessment Program (MSPAP).

Those desiring to present comments may register at the meeting site beginning at 6:30 p.m. Any citizen or group representative may register to speak. Registration will close at 7:15 p.m. The forum will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m., and speakers will be called in the order of registration.
