Presidential Portrait Comes to Life at Oakland Terrace
For the past month, students at Oakland Terrace Elementary School have watched as painter Jason Swain has worked on a portrait of President Barack Obama in the school’s all-purpose room. Students learned about painting and history from Swain, who was impressed with the students’ curiosity and the depth of their questions. Students and staff have signed a board attached to the back of the painting so they too can be a part of history.
