Reaction and Feedback OpportunitiesThe Office of Curriculum and Instructional Programs continues to seek reaction and feedback on curriculum revision documents as each document is distributed and put into use. The formal feedback opportunities include: Parents and community through curriculum advisory committees (see below) or on-line feedback:
Business community through meetings with the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education. Teachers through the Montgomery County Education Association Councils on Teaching and Learning, through on-line feedback, and through representative staff listed below:
Principals through curriculum meetings and focus groups Curriculum Advisory CommitteesThere are seven curriculum advisory committees: one general committee, a special education instruction committee, an accelerated and enriched instruction committee, and a committee for each of the four subject areas, English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Committee membership includes representation from Montgomery County Council of PTAs, and other organizations representing parents and community. The advisory committees meet with the director of curriculum and instruction, the supervisor of special education instruction, and with the subject area supervisors on a regular basis.
