Carver Educational Services Center Cafeteria Reservations

The Carver Educational Services Center (CESC) in Rockville, Maryland, includes a cafeteria that is available for meetings held by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) staff and organizations associated with MCPS. The Carver Educational Services Center is located at 850 Hungerford Drive.

How to Make a Reservation

See if the Cafeteria is Available

Review the Online Cafeteria Calendar to determine availability. Note: No reservations will be made between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Reserve the Cafeteria by E-mail

E-mail Vilma Rivas-Cativo (Vilma_R_Rivas-Cativo@mcpsmd.org) in the Public Information Office.

In your e-mail, please include the following:

a. Group b. Event c. Other
Please include what group will be using the auditorium as well as the following:
  • Contact person
  • Telephone number
  • Location
  • Date
  • Beginning and ending times
 Include other pertinent information.
d. Space Requirement
Please request the front, back, or front and back of the cafeteria.

Front of the cafeteria

  • Holds 50 people
  • Small tables and chairs

Back of the cafeteria

  • Holds 30 people
  • One long table with chairs around

Both front and back of the cafeteria

  • Holds maximum 80 people

Your reservation will be confirmed by e-mail or telephone. Please remember that these reservations do occasionally get pre-empted by the Board of Education or the Superintendent of Schools. If this would present a problem, you may wish to seek an alternative space. You will be notified as soon as possible if your meeting is pre-empted.

To avoid any conflicts, it is imperative that any changes to reservations be made through Ms. Menocal.

Confirm Your Reservation

Please confirm your reservation via e-mail 48 hours prior to the event.

What Else Do You Need to Know?

Audio or Video Equipment

You must make arrangements for special audio or video equipment through Multimedia Services, Monday through Friday, at 301-279-3103.

After Your Meeting

Please leave the room as you found it.

Cancellations

If your meeting is canceled, please contact Vilma Rivas-Cativo by phone at 301-279-3853, or by e-mail at Vilma_R_Rivas-Cativo@mcpsmd.org as soon as possible so that the room may be used by others.
