About the guest speaker: Khoi Vinh, Design Director, NYTimes.com
One of Gaithersburg High School’s very own graduates, Khoi Vinh leads the web design team for what
is quite likely the most admired newspaper web site in the country, if not the world – nytimes.com
Khoi, a native of Vietnam, immigrated to the United States with his family in the early 1970s. He graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 1989 and went on to build a career as a graphic designer, then interactive designer. Khoi formed his own design studio, and left to join the New York Times in January 2006. Khoi’s talk is open to any interested students and staff, but would have special appeal to students involved in design (web, graphic, etc.), web communications/development, and journalism.
