A screen reader is a software application with speech and/or refreshable braille display. It provides information of what is on the computer screen: text, links, menus, dialog boxes, and even graphics.

Thanks to this software a blind person is able to navigate the internet and to take advantage of different computer programs through the use of keyboard commands.
