After a university transfer and major change from Communicative Disorders to Special Education, I finally graduated from Illinois State University with a Bacheler's of Science in Special Education, emphasizing in Visual Impairments in 2004.  I have been with MCPS since the summer of 2004 and work with the Infant/Toddler and School Age population. 

I am currently working on my Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University, completing the certificate programs in Severe Disabilities and Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education, with an anticipated completion date of Summer, 2008. 

One of my favorite things about my job is promoting self advocacy and independence, as well as working with some many wonderful students and teachers.  However, rainy days are kind of a bummer going in and out of schools!
