Kathy Caputo

Kathy received her MA in Deaf-Blind from Perkin’s Program with Boston University (a VERY long time ago J )


She taught at Perkins in The Deaf- Blind Program for 1 year taught in San Francisco for 7 years where
established and taught a pre-school class for Deaf-Blind Rubella kids for 4 years. As well, she
taught elementary resource vision class – grades K–4 for 3 years.
Upon arriving to MCPS, she was hired as an Itinerant Vision Teacher and taught for 3 years. Throughout her during hse has worked with all programs from infant and toodler to school age population.

Kathy decided to take 12 years off to stay home with her own children –now 29 and 26 - and returned to MCPS system in 1990. Where she currently serves as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and serves a wide range of students.

Some of her outside interest includes enjoying the company of family and friends. In addition to enjoying the continous festival and experiences living in Washington DC.
