Program Overview
Welcome to the website for MCPS Vision Program , a special education department of Montgomery County Public Schools.
The Vision Program provides educational supports and services to students who are blind and visually impaired (ages birth-21); classroom teachers; school staffs; and parents.
Teachers of the Visually Impaired provide services that range from consultation to school staff regarding students’ vision needs, to direct instruction to students in compensatory skill areas (i.e. Braille, use of low vision aids and adaptive technology; etc.)
The Vision Program is committed to ensuring that each student has the necessary accommodations and appropriate materials/equipment in order to effectively access instruction in the least restrictive environment.
