Center for Technology Innovation (CTI)
Description In October 2005, the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) opened the Center for Technology Innovation (CTI)—an innovative, state-of-the-art technology training facility centrally located in Rockville, Maryland. This 14,000+ square foot, modernized space, located off Shady Grove Road, is the first major MCPS facility to offer comprehensive, centralized training to school- and non-school-based staff to support all MCPS technology programs and initiatives.

The CTI is a one-stop location for MCPS technology training. Training programs such as the MCPS Instructional Management System, Technology Modernization Program, automated assessments, and more take place recurrently. The CTI houses four high-tech labs, two ultramodern classrooms, a revolutionary videoconferencing center, a conference room, and a cybercafé. Approximately 30 MCPS technology consultants/trainers are staffed at the CTI. The CTI facility also houses some of the leading, prevalently used computer and audiovisual technology in the county.

The CTI represents MCPS’ comprehensive response to the broad challenges and fundamental demands of advanced technology training for today’s educators and for futuristic technology training. CTI Web page
