What is the Instructional Technology Team?

The Instructional Technology Team assures the successful integration of technologies that support student achievement and workforce excellence. This is accomplished through training and creating vehicles for collecting user feedback on deployed systems. The team also develops relationships to identify needs that can be addressed through technology.  

What we do:

  • Provide professional development and curriculum support for technology infusion into MCPS curricula, including—
    • instructional technology materials,
    • Internet-based resources,
    • instructional applications, and
    • exemplary technology integration practice.
  • Develop and deliver instructional technology modules for professional development, using technology tools and best practices methodologies—
    • onsite,
    • centralized, and
    • Web-based.
  • Provide staff development support to Technology Modernization (Tech Mod) schools.
  • Provide Achievement Series, MCPSAP-PR, and myMCPS training to support curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with other offices and schools to evaluate, review, and purchase software and online services.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and software applications.
