Standard Three
Demonstrate an understanding of the legal, social, and ethical issues related to technology use 		 

Identify ethical and legal issues using technology
Obtain a working knowledge of copyright laws and Fair Use Guidelines
Model proper computer usage etiquette
Analyze issues related to the uses of technology in educational settings
Incorporate knowledge of technology use issues into classroom instruction
Inform students of the school system's Acceptable Use Policy
 
Establish classroom policies and procedures that ensure compliance with copyright law, Fair Use guidelines, security, privacy, and student on-line protection
Display and enforce computer usage regulations
Incorporate proper copyright use in research and writing
Discuss with students the importance of password and account security
Use classroom procedures to manage an equitable, safe, and healthy environment for students
Arrange classroom layout to facilitate monitoring and safe technology use
Be aware of basic health and safety issues inherent in a technology environment
Encourage students to ask questions and explore technology
