Mission: To support
schools and offices in collecting data and disseminating
information for the instructional and support programs
and for the management of schools and offices. The team
provides the leadership and coordination to plan, implement,
and support the following: providing student information
to the administration to support the Success for Every
Student Plan, Maryland School Performance Program, and
School-based Instructional Monitoring System; Global
Access initiatives in school and office administrative
applications including software, staff training, countywide
e-mail and electronic conferring, and integrated databases;
software application and databases that provides accurate
and current information for strategic planning and day-to-day
decision making; research and development of the latest
tools, techniques, and applications to allow schools
and offices to better use information collected. The
mission is accomplished by the Student Systems, and Business
Systems teams. |

Operates, maintains,
and enhances the delivery of student information.
The unit helps provide training and support to
schools and offices for student functions, including
enrollment, attendance, grade collection and
reporting, scheduling, and course management. |

Supports, maintains,
and enhances the delivery of business applications
supporting the staff of MCPS. Applications are
supporting human resources, materials management,
transportation, financial applications and many other mission critical applications.
