The Title V grant for Montgomery County Public Schools focuses on the research
and development of New and Innovative Technologies. Some of the current
initiatives under the grant are a videoconferencing solution for students enrolled
in Alternative
Education centers and online classes for high school students. In addition,
the Title V grant sponsors programs for the development or acquisition and
use of instructional and educational material. These educational materials
include library services and educational materials, academic assessments, reference
materials, computer software and hardware for instructional use, and other
curricula materials that are tied to high academic standards, that will be
used to improve student achievement, and that are part of an overall educational
reform program.
NOTE: Title V allocation for participating
nonpublic schools for 2004-2005 school year has changed
to $2.00 per student.
TITLE V Reminder: Applications for Title V are due no
later than June 30, 2005.
