Montgomery County Public Schools uses TITLE II funding to address the
issue of the digital divide in sixty elementary schools throughout the
county. The Title II Allocation provides MCPS with an opportunity to
provide high quality professional development on integrating technology
into
instruction,
excellent hardware and software support to schools, and a working model
for after school programs and community involvement.
As a nonpublic school you can benefit from plans
developed for these programs, products developed,
and other training resources. Visit the Technology
Consulting Team web site for model technology
lessons, tutorials, and sample training videos.
Read about the lessons learned at one of our
elementary schools in the After
School Technology Club: Program Guide. This
guide will provide you with an overview of getting
started, making curriculum choices, and evaluating
after school tehnology clubs. While the nature
of the programs involved strive to reach students
affected by the digital divide, the lessons learned
can be applied to any after school technology
club.
