Student Town Hall Meetings
Superintendent Joshua Starr held six Student Town Hall events throughout the 2012-2013 school year. Four of the events were held at high schools (Albert Einstein, Walter Johnson, Northwest and Paint Branch) and two were held in middle schools (Gaithersburg and Redland). Dr. Starr started the Student Town Halls in 2011 to hear directly from students and give them a chance to ask questions and share their thoughts. Questions and comments came from the live studio audience, as well as from students who submitted questions by email or via Twitter. The high school Student Town Halls were broadcast live on MCPS TV and webcast on the MCPS website.
