MCR Honor Code

APPROVED, MCR Executive Board Resolution 02/03-EB-01

As a student leader, I pledge to:

-conduct myself in a responsible manner and as a representative of MCR’s membership, whether it be on or off school grounds. While I am aware that I cannot be punished for my out of school behavior at school, I understand that I am expected to uphold a certain level of moral responsibility. I agree to be respectful towards all.

-uphold academic integrity and to put forth my best efforts in the classroom. I will not knowingly engage in any cheating, plagiarism, or falsification of any kind. I understand that this includes, but is not limited to, giving or receiving of unauthorized assistance on assignments.

-fulfill the duties of my position to the best of my ability. I will use dedication and perseverance in completing the tasks and responsibilities of my given job. I will regard my leadership role with respect and not use it for any type of personal gain. Furthermore, I pledge to work to serve the best interests of the students attending Montgomery County Public schools.

-maintain a healthy, drug free lifestyle. I will use sound judgement and make good decisions regarding the safety and well-being of myself and those around me.

I understand that this honor code intends to support the vision and mission of this organization and create a standard for all of its members and representatives to uphold. I also understand that it is not intended to be a contract, but an agreement that as a member of this organization I will, to the best of my ability, abide by these guidelines.
