Brief History of MCR

MCR was formed in approximately 1958 when the Central Region of Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC), which included Montgomery County, Howard County, Carroll County, Baltimore County and Harford County, was split up. Montgomery County became an independent MASC region. Mr. Mike Michaelson was the MCR advisor from 1960 - 1995, followed by a one-year interim from Mr. John Hartsock. Mr. Ron Feffer became the advisor in 1996, until Mrs. Karen Crawford accepted the position in the fall of 1999.
