The Executive Board of MCR is comprised of elected officers
as well as appointed staff. In addition, the student
government president (or his/her representative) is
a member of the board. All executive board members are
required to attend the meetings.
Exeuctive Board members receive student
service learing hours for their work in this organization.
MCR staff should download the SSL form , complete it,
and return it to the Student Affairs Office for verification
(pdf). (Deadlines
for submission to the Student Affairs Office are two days prior to the deadlines listed in the instructions on the SSL form.)
Early each spring, the MCR officers are elected (usually at the March General Assembly) and staff
applicatons are available. Information
is distributed at the General Assembly meetings and the packet is posted on the MCR web pages and with the Student Affairs Office

All meetings are held at Carver Educational Services
Center (directions
to CESC). Most of the meetings are held in the back
of the cafeteria at CESC. There is a door into the cafeteria
just before the North Entrance to the building (by the
reserved Board of Education parking spaces). Some meetings
may be scheduled in the auditorium (directly inside
the North Entrance).

Synopsis: This was the first meeting with the new
MCR-SGA staff. The new staff was confirmed and the
officer team met with them to discuss goals for
next year. The curent SMOB, Q Malik, spoke about
new cell phone legislation and the SMOB-elect, Tim
Hwang, talked about next year and the SMOB 2.0 Initiative
(montly meetings and quarterly Town Hall Meetings). |

MCR Advance - with the new executive
board and high school presidents
|
The MCR president (or his/her designee) will attend
MASC Executive Board meetings. Other MCR staff and students
are invited to attend. MASC executive board meets around
the state in different counties. The meetings are generally
during the morning with leadership trianing in the afternoon.

December
1, 2009 (7:00 - 9:00pm) is the annual meeting of the
student leaders in Montgomery County and the Board of
Education. All MCR executive board members are expected
to attend. All schools should send at least 3, but no
more than 6 representatives. Read details, download
