Can you help sort supplies this summer? Middle and high school student volunteers are needed to sort and organize donated school supplies for distribution to local, national, and international programs for children. This is a pre-approved student service learning activity. Sorting will take place in the cafeteria of Richard Montgomery High School Monday Tuesday, July 9-10, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. 3:00 pm.
(Wednesday, July 11 is reserved in case the work is not completed the first two days. Only students who worked a previous day may help on that day - no new volunteers.)
The celebration/press conference is on Monday, July 16, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. We need student help from 9:30 a.m.-until all supplies are picked up, but no later than 6:00 p.m. Volunteers will help schools, organizations, and families with supplies. On July 17th, "left over" supplies will be packed u (9:30 a.m. - noon). Only students who helped sort on between July 9-11, 2012, may serve on this day.
No pre-registration or sign-up is necessary. Just show up and sign-in. For students working the full day (9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), bring a bag lunch, including your beverage!
