During May and June, 2002, MCPS elementary, middle and high schools collected school supplies. During the summer at Montgomery Village Middle School, a student group of volunteers sorted, weighed and boxed the supplies. After the celebration program on July 22, 2002, schools, Linkages to Learning, YMCA, Montgomery County Recreation Department, and many other organizations, picked up the supplies.


791 pound of binders were donated.


This represents 40 pounds of scissors!
