The Special Education Advisory
Committee is comprised of parents, MCPS staff, and
representatives of Montgomery County community groups
that advocate for children with special needs and
serve to advocate for, and advise, the Department
of Special Education.
The committee meets the fourth
Thursday evening of each month, from 7:00-9:00
p.m., at the Carver Educational Services Center (CESC).
The public is welcome to attend.
Each meeting
has public comments from 7:00 - 7:15 pm (pre-sign
up by emailing cochairs) Bring at least 5 copies
of your comments to be used
for follow up after meeting. No decision will be made
on public comment items during actual SEAC meeting.
Any follow up information will be handled outside the
meeting through appropriate MCPS staff. Public
Comment
participants will have 3 minutes. No
comments should be made that are derogatory or critical
of specific MCPS staff members or any other
individual
on any level. Issues of concern brought forth in public
