Old Information:

This is to inform you of a new process for review and evaluation of custodial  products and equipment for use in Montgomery County Public Schools.   Beginning May 2, 2005, vendors will be permitted to schedule product and  equipment demonstrations with the Division of School Plant Operations on a first  come, first serve basis.  Each vendor will be permitted 30 minutes to introduce  new products/equipment for the division to evaluate and determine if further testing and evaluation will be recommended.

Currently, the Division of School Plant Operations is interested in reviewing  only products and equipment that have obtained the Green Seal GS37, GS40, environmentally preferred  products or other environmental certification, as well as a dry carpet cleaning process and equipment.

Please complete the form at: Procedure for Product Approval

and provide product literature/specifications for each type of product you would like to be considered.  The completed form and product literature must be returned to the Division of School Plant Operations, 2096 Gaither Road, Suite 202, Rockville, MD 20850 prior to your scheduled presentation date.

Please be aware that if further testing is recommended, the vendor will be required to provide the products and equipment to perform the evaluation.  All products and equipment required to complete this testing will be at the vendor's expense.

Vendors are not received on a walk-in basis.  Vendors can not sell products to individual schools.  Selling to individual locations is a violation of MCPS policies and procedures and could result in the vendor being removed from the potential or current vendor list.
