Doing Business with MCPS

MCPS supports a well-rounded business base assisting all suppliers through training and outreach activities. The Procurement Unit offers monthly training sessions for suppliers and vendors that are interested in being business partners. Additionally, division staff participates in county and state outreach activities specifically targeted to small businesses and businesses owned and operated by minorities, females, and disabled individuals.

Guide to Successful Supplier Partnership

Thank you for your interest in becoming an MCPS supplier. The goal of this guide is to provide business owners access to procurement opportunities with MCPS.

Vendor registration:

eMaryland Marketplace
We strongly encourage vendors to register with eMaryland Marketplace (eMM). eMM is the State of Maryland’s electronic bid board, and all MCPS formal procurement solicitations are posted there. All State of Maryland agencies and counties utilize eMM, so vendors will have access to those solicitations as well.

Montgomery County Central Vendor Registration System (CVRS) 
This website is a collaborative effort from Montgomery County Government, Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, Housing Opportunities Commission and The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. It is the one-stop registration system for companies who are interested in providing goods and services to all 5 county agencies' procurement offices. It allows potential vendors to create and maintain their subscriptions at no financial cost, ensuring county agencies always have up-to-date vendor information.

Vendor seminars:

Seminars are conducted at 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of every other month, starting in August, in the Bid Conference Room of the Procurement Unit
