| On June 12, 2007, the superintendent approved new Regulation COA-RB, Registered Sexual Offenders Presence on School Property. This new regulation provides guidelines for the circumstances in which a registered sexual offender may enter onto the property of MCPS. |

| On August 23, 2006 the superintendent approved a new Regulation GEH-RA, Teleworking. This regulation identifies the conditions for permissible teleworking arrangements. |

|

| On July 22, 2006 the superintendent approved a new Regulation JPG-RA, Wellness: Physical and Nutritional Health. This regulation was implements Policy JPG, Wellness: Physical and Nutritional Health. |

|

| On September 11, 2006 the superintendent approved new Regulation KBA-RB, Educational Purposes and Administration of the MCPS Web. This new web regulation provides a framework for the structure and content of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Web. |

| On July 18, 2006, the Board approved the revision of Policy ABA, Community Involvement. The revised policy articulates that schools, parents, community organizations, and others are stakeholders in ensuring a quality education for all students. |

| On August 30, 2006, the Board approved the revision of Policy CNA, Informational Material and Announcements. The revised policy provides a mechanism for organizations and businesses to provide informational materials and announcements to students and parents. |

|

| On October 26, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation CNA-RA, Display and Distribution of Informational Materials and Announcements. This regulation was revised to implement revised Policy CNA, Informational Materials and Announcements. |

| On November 14, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation DJA-RA, Procurement of Equipment, Supplies, and Contractual Services. This regulation was revised to update offices and reflect current practice. |

| On April 18, 2007, the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation DLB-RA, Authorized Signatures for Payroll Documents. This regulation was revised to reflect current practice. |

| On October 17, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation FAA-RA, Long Range Educational Facilities Planning. This regulation was revised to reflect changes in program capacity at the middle school and high school level. |

| On March 13, 2007, the Board approved the revision of Policy FFA, Naming School Facilities. The policy includes a change that would begin the school naming process at the same time the facility planning project is initiated. |

| On September 25, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GBH-RA, Reasonable Accommodations for Individuals With Disabilities With Regard to Employment. This regulation was revised to update offices, definitions and to reflect current practice. |

| On March 27, 2007 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GDA-RB, Medical Examinations. This regulation was revised to update offices and reflect current practice. |

| On September 25, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GEC-RA, Recruitment, Selection, and Placement of Supporting Service Employees. This regulation was revised to update offices and to reflect current practice. |

| On March 26, 2007 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GGA-RA, Working Hours and Work Load. This regulation was revised to update offices, add a section on definitions and reflect current practice. |

| On December 12, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GHD-RA, Wages and Salaries for Supporting Services Employees. This regulation was revised to update offices and reflect current practice. |

| On July 31, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GID-RA, Transfer of Sick Leave Within the Maryland Public School System. This regulation was revised to update offices and reflect current practice. |

| On September 21, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation GJC-RA, Suspension and Termination of Professional Personnel. This regulation was revised to update offices and to reflect current practice. |

| On May 21, 2007 the Board approved the revision of Policy IEA, Framework and Structure of Early Childhood and Elementary Education. The policy emphasizes the importance of intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of students in their early learning years, as well as the need for productive partnerships with parents, families, and community. |

|

| On February 26, 2007, the Board approved the revision of Policy IEB, Middle School Education. The policy provides direction for a rigorous and challenging middle school education program. The revision was developed with the collaboration of a steering committee comprising community and parent stakeholders, as well as representatives from school and administrative offices. |

|

| On May 23, 2007, the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation IGT-RA, User Responsibilities for Computer Systems, Electronic Information and Network Security. This regulation was revised to update offices, change the title, and add a section on electronic signatures and records. |

|

| On July 18, 2006, the Board approved the revision of Policy IOB, Education of Students with Disabilities. The revised policy reflects the changes in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). |

|

| On October 26, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation IOE-RA, Guidelines for the Continuing Education of Pregnant Students. This regulation was revised to update offices. |

| On September 24, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation IOE-RB, Home and Hospital Teaching. This regulation was revised to become consistent with the Code of Maryland Regulations. |

| On February 23, 2007 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation IQD-RB, Academic Eligibility for Middle School Students Who Participate in Extracurricular Activities. This regulation was revised to reflect current practice. |

|

| On November 21, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation JEA-RC, Enrollment and Placement of International and Foreign Students. This regulation was revised to update offices and reflect current practice. |

|

| On November 29, 2006 the superintendent approved revisions to Regulation JEE-RA, Transfer of Students. This regulation was revised to reflect current practice. |

|

| On April 19, 2007 the Board approved the revision of Policy JFA, Student Rights and Responsibilities. The policy sets forth a recommendation that a student's conduct, prior to election or appointment to the student government, or other leadership position, exemplify ethical, legal and appropriate conduct in order for the student to be eligible to attain, or retain, such leadership positions. |

| On October 10, 2006, the Board approved the rescission of Policy GBD, Recognition of Employees. The policy was rendered obsolete with the recent adoption of Policy GAA, Positive Work Environment in a Self-Renewing Organization, which includes the Board's position on employee recognition. Further, Regulation GBE-RA, Employee Recognition, was recently revised and provides guidelines for recognizing MCPS employees for their accomplishments and service. |

| On February 26, 2007, the Board approved the rescission of Policy GDA, Preemployment Physical Examinations. Maryland law that previously required medical examinations prior to employment in a public school has been rescinded, and Montgomery County Public Schools does not make a physical examination a requirement for employment independent of state law. |

|

| On October 10, 2006, the Board approved the rescission of Policy GEE, Teachers and Principals Holding Second-Class Certificates. The policy was rendered obsolete with the recent adoption of Policy GAA, Positive Work Environment in a Self-Renewing Organization, which identifies principles for supporting professional growth and employee success. Provisions for managing second-class certificates are described in Regulation GEE-RA, Classification of Certificates. |
