READINESS ACTIVITIES
Readiness activities are as follows:
- The current year's documents for grade book advisors, the summer OARS communication documents, and the grade book advisor/Edline super user identification form are available to all grade book advisors and Edline super users on the OARS Advisors' Forum. The summer OARS communication documents were also sent to principals over the summer as an attachment to the Online Achievement and Reporting System Update memo.
- New and returning grade book advisors and Edline super users complete summer training at CTI.
- Staff new to the use of the Pinnacle electronic grade book should complete the 3-hour OnDemand Training available through PDO.
- Grade book advisors and Edline super users train school staff during pre-service week.
- Individual teachers will enter student grades into Pinnacle in an accurate, precise, and timely manner.
- All teachers understand
that information entered into Pinnacle will be published to Edline for parent and student access.
- All teachers will participate in the integrated Pinnacle and Edline applications implementation
at each school, with the exception of the limited number of elementary schools where selected teachers will participate in the Pinnacle 7 Prototype. Elementary schools will institute the use of Edline at a later date.
- Teachers new to OARS, grade book advisors, and Edline super users will receive Tier 1 compensation for attending their respective trainings.
- The use of the integrated Pinnacle and Edline applications will be supported by current staffing levels at each school, supplemented by central office training and support. Up to three grade book advisors at each middle school, up to seven grade book advisors at each high school, and one Edline super user at each school will be compensated in accordance with the negotiated stipend agreement.
