Retirees Association Offers Scholarships

The Montgomery County Public Schools Retirees Association (MCPSRA) will award seven $1,000 scholarships and three $1,000 Memorial Scholarships to defray the costs of course work in a recognized educational program for summer school 2011.
Also the MCPSRA will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship for the continuing education of any teacher currently employed by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). Applications will be distributed to all MCPS school facilities and offices in early March 2011.
Professional and supporting services staff members currently employed by the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) are eligible to apply. Scholarships will be awarded based on the applicants’ educational goals and financial needs. The award may be used toward the cost of tuition, books, or other expenses. Please complete the appropriate attached application to be considered.
Applications must be submitted no later than April 9, 2011.
