The MCPS Library Catalog is a Department of Materials Management Intranet application for use by MCPS Media Centers. This web service provides a central repository for both cataloging information and school holdings.

Being part of the DMM Intranet, this service is only available to computers in the MCPS domain during regular working hours.

1. I can't seem to log in. I receive a "Logon has Failed. The Logon Information is not Valid" message.

If you believe that you have typed in the correct Username and Password, then check your CAPS LOCK key. The logon is case sensitive, and it needs to be in lowercase. Around 95% of all logon errors come from CAPS LOCK key errors.

2. I can't seem to log in. I get the same logon screen again without any error messages.

Quick answer: Check your computer's time, date, and timezone settings. Make sure your computer's clock is close to your school clock, that your date is correct, and that you are in the Eastern timezone so it communicates with our server.

3. Why can't I access the MCPS Library Catalog from my home?

The MCPS Library Catalog is a service available only to MCPS staff using computers on MCPS campuses. Since the MCPS Library Catalog is not a public service, the Department of Materials Management can safely host this application behind the MCPS firewall.
