The MidCounty Office of the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program is located at the Children's Resource Center in Rockville. In addition to providing services for children and families in their homes or day care settings, group programs for parents and children are provided on weekly and biweekly schedules.
The program for each child and family is individualized based on their needs, concerns, and priorities. The Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) is developed in collaboration with the family. It is a dynamic plan that can be modified at any time, but must be reviewed and revised at least every six months.
As a child approaches the age of 3 years, staff begin to prepare the family for transition to other programs within the community as appropriate. Transition Information is provided, meetings are held, assessments are completed, community resources are discussed and visited as appropriate.
