Earn E-TIPS Hours by Sharing your Universally Designed Curriculum Materials

Earn 1 E-TIPS hour for every 2 files uploaded to the Teacher-Made folder. Files should:

• Align with the MCPS general education curriculum and demonstrate high standards for students OR align with the MCPS Fundamental Life Skills Curriculum and provide opportunities for meaningful learning to students with disabilities.
• Follow the guidelines in AT Quick Guide:Uploading New Materials to the UDL Share Space (117K pdf)
• Include instructions to others, if appropriate, to explain the use or purpose of your resource.
• Be uploaded to the "Gen Ed Teacher-Made" or "FLS Teacher-Made" folder, as appropriate, with the document properties filled out.

You may also earn E-TIPS hours for resources uploaded to the Instructional Guide or Copyrighted Text folders.  1 E-TIPS hour will be awarded for:

• 3 electronic files that provide pages of the Instructional Guide in accessible format.  All of the guidelines above apply
• A reading passage in either KESI or RTF format that is required or optional reading for an MCPS unit and contains at least 10 pages.  You may also submit several files that are 10 pages combined.  The scanned passages must be edited for errors.

Obtaining your E-TIPS credit

HIAT staff monitors the folders on the UDL Share Space. You will be notified by a HIAT team member when your E-TIPS hours have been awarded. That's all there is to it!
