Power Point, which is part of the Microsoft Office package, is software that allows you to make slide show presentations. While originally developed for businesses, this program has powerful uses in the classroom. Additional information and templates for PowerPoint are on the Microsoft Office website.

Use Photo Story to make quick multimedia presentations by importing images and adding sound and movement.

HOME USE: This a free download for all valid owners of Microsoft Windows. Presentations created can be played on computers using Microsft Windows with and without Photo Story installed.

Use Windows Paint to make your graphics smaller, crop them, or save them in a more efficient file format.

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word is a word processor which has many features to support struggling students with reading and writing. It is available on all MCPS computers.
