Written Productivity Profile
A Written Productivity Profile (WPP) helps you define student needs in the area of writing. It consists of three parts:
Handwriting / Keyboarding Comparison
You will ask the student to write and type four different things:
- the alphabet
- a dictated sentence
- a copied sentence
- an independently composed sentence
Then you will compare handwriting and typing speeds under these different conditions.
Spelling Analysis
You will ask the student to write a short list of words.
Writing Analysis
Analyze an independently written paragraph according to the writing rubric for your district and grade level. That rubric should examine explicit writing skills such as the 6+1 Trait ® Writing framework.
