Headphones are critical for using software that has voice output functions in the classroom. You can buy headphones at Radio Shack and a variety of other stores.

Headphone splitters allow you to group students at the computer for tasks that involve sound. You can buy splitters at Radio Shack and a variety of other stores.

USB flash drives (also known as pen drives, jump drives, thumb drives) can be purchased at computer stores, office supply stores, or online. Try comparison shopping at mySimon. You may want to read a review about leading products before making your choice, or buy from the MCPS bid list.

Keyboard Labels make it easier to see the letters on the keyboard.

• Zoomcaps are uppercase letters in black on white or white on black. Available from LS&S and MaxiAids.
• Keystick labels are lower case and color coded for proper fingering. Available from Onion Mountain Technology ($2.50).
