What is the best way to access
and play videos at school? |
| You
can stream videos during planning time to preview
them. If you want to show the video to your students,
click on the download later icon. The video will
be downloaded to your local school server overnight.
The next day, you will still log into DE Streaming,
but the video will play from the local school
server, which is accessible from the Network Manger
tab in My Content. |
Can I use the download later feature
at home? |
| Yes, you can now use the download later
icon at home and access the video the next day
from your local school server. |
I want to burn videos to a CD or
use them in a powerpoint. How do I save them from
the DE streaming website? |
| Teachers
can use the download icon to save videos to My
Documents, flash drive or CD. You can download
anytime. All download restrictions have been removed.
To download a video, right click on the download
icon and choose "Save Target As" and
save the video into a folder in My Documents,
flash drive or navigate to the CD drive. When
saving the file we suggest you shorten the file
name and keep the file extension in order to speed
up the download process. Please note video files
are large and take up a lot of space. You may
need to burn them onto a CD and delete them from
My Documents quite often to avoid running out
of space. |
How do I know what has been downloaded/stored
on the DE Streaming server at my school? |
| The
local school server, can be accessed by logging
in to DE Streaming and clicking on the Network
Manger tab in My Content. There you will see a
list of all videos that have been downloaded to
your school server. |
