is the Professional Development Online web page?
Montgomery County Public Schools is introducing
technology called the Professional Development Online (PDO)
system so that MCPS staff members can manage the development
of their careers online. Commonly referred to as the PDO,
this system is a Web-based repository that provides comprehensive
professional development information to all MCPS staff members.
When using the PDO to register for courses, staff will have
the ability to view target announcements, information, and
content specific to their position and will have access
to information that includes required and recommended courses
tailored to their individual needs. The system was designed
by the MCPS Office of Information and Organizational Systems,
a team of employees from throughout the school system, and
with the participation of all three employee unions.
