Grants Management

Proper management of grants is important to achieve your project's goals and to ensure the future funding of your grant or other grant applications submitted by MCPS, and to the integrity of your program. Only a full-time MCPS employee can be the official manager of a grant. All MCPS grant managers are assisted by the fiscal assistants in their divisions and the budget specialists assigned to their division from the Budget Unit.

Management requirements vary greatly among grants awarded by private organizations, foundations, local, state and federal agencies. Please contact the Department of Strategic Planning and Resource Management if you need assistance with understanding the grant guidelines.
