High Achievement Scholarship Program

The High Achievement Scholarship Program rewards students who evidence high academic achievement and who have provided consistent, quality service to the Learning Academy.

The program is also designed to attract more students to the Saturday School Program and encourage them to become engaged in their education and strive for excellence from the early grades through high school and higher education.

Scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who served as volunteer tutors in the Learning Academy and who meet the established criteria. The minimum award will be $1,000. Awards may be greater, based on annual funding availability.

To date, 36 scholarships have been awarded—seven in 2005, 15 in 2006, and 14 in 2007.
