Programs at Paint Branch and Springbrook High Schools
The GBTLA After-school Programs at Paint Branch and Springbrook High Schools provide academic support and enhancement to high school students to improve their mastery in core academic subjects: Mathematics, English, science, and social studies. The programs also help students prepare for the High School Assessments (HSAs). Students are encouraged to take higher level courses such as Honors and Advanced Placement, and are given the support to be successful. The academic portion of the program runs from 2:30 to 4:00 PM and is followed by a one hour Sports Academy from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, which is operated by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation.
Students who register for the program are expected to attend regularly.

- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

- September through December (1st semester) and February through May (2nd semester)

Program at Rockville High School—Cyber Cafe
The GBTLA is a partner in the Skills for Success Cyber Cafe Program at Rockville High School. The after-school program serves 9th and 10th grade students at Rockville High School and provides enhanced academic support, tutoring and mentoring to during the school year and for three weeks during the summer. Supplementary instruction is provided to by certified teachers who work with students to develop their knowledge of core subjects and provide strategies for effective learning and studying. The program is held Monday through Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
